If you are a New York State employee, retiree, or family member enrolled in The Empire Plan, your coverage may help pay for medical detox at Allure Detox in West Palm Beach, Florida. Our admissions team can verify your benefits by phone and explain how your plan works at our facility before you make any decisions.
The Empire Plan or Empire BCBS? Know Which One You Have
Two very different plans share the Empire name, and people often mix them up.
- The Empire Plan is the primary health plan of NYSHIP, the New York State Health Insurance Program for state and many local government employees and retirees. If your card says NYSHIP or The Empire Plan, this page is for you.
- Empire BlueCross BlueShield is a commercial insurer in New York, now operating under the Anthem name. If your card says Empire BlueCross BlueShield or Anthem, see our Empire BCBS page.
If you are not sure, our admissions team can tell from the information on your card.
How The Empire Plan Works for Detox in Florida
The Empire Plan has a nationwide provider network, which allows members to receive treatment outside New York. It covers medically necessary mental health and substance use treatment, including medically supervised detox, residential treatment, and medication-assisted treatment.
Inpatient detox and residential treatment usually require prior authorization through the plan’s behavioral health program, and continued stays are reviewed for medical necessity. Our admissions team submits the request and our clinical team provides the documentation. Your out-of-pocket cost depends on your deductible, copays, and coinsurance, and on whether Allure is in network for your plan. We go over the expected costs with you before admission.
Medical Detox at Allure
We provide medically supervised detox for alcohol, opioids, benzodiazepines, stimulants, and other substances. Every client is assessed on arrival and given an individualized plan. Medications are used where appropriate to ease withdrawal, and clients are monitored around the clock by physicians, nurses, and therapists who specialize in addiction medicine. Detox is the first step, and before you leave we help plan what comes next so there is no gap in care.
Take the First Step
Asking for help is the hardest part. Once you have, the rest can move quickly. Call our admissions team with the information on your Empire Plan card for a free, confidential insurance verification. We will confirm your plan, explain your benefits, and walk you through what a stay at Allure looks like.
